As our new Advanced Research Scientist, you will take ownership of binding assays that support Novo's development projects from early research through clinical trials. You will operate and develop ELISA assays and the Monocyte Activation Test (MAT), ensure the appropriate regulatory quality standards, and help bring automated laboratory solutions and digitalization into our daily work. The analytical results you generate will support the development of new medicines that make a significant difference for people living with serious chronic diseases worldwide.

You will balance your work across two key platforms, ELISA and Monocyte Activation Test (MAT), while taking responsibility for assay performance on specific clinical projects within Novo's portfolio.

Who You Will Be Working With
You will join Team Binding Assays, one of three teams within the Bioanalysis department in CMC Development. The department's approximately 70 employees develop bioanalytical methods for cell banks and in-process samples, as well as methods for characterizing drug substances and drug products across Novo's entire portfolio, from early research through clinical trials worldwide.
In Team Binding Assays, you will work alongside 17 talented scientists and laboratory technicians who develop immunoassays and cell-based assays for monitoring process-related impurities and non-endotoxin pyrogens. In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with laboratory technicians, fellow scientists, and project managers, while also partnering with colleagues across Research and Manufacturing to keep project deliveries on track.

Salary: For this position, the annual base salary ranges from DKK 570,200 to DKK 838,100, depending on the job level.
Placement within the salary range will be determined during the recruitment process based on the candidate's competencies, skills, knowledge, and relevant experience.

- An MSc and/or PhD in Pharmacy, Biomedicine, or a related field.
- Experience from the pharmaceutical industry or another GMP-regulated environment.
- Relevant experience and knowledge within immunoassays, such as ELISA, Monocyte Activation Test, or other relevant pyrogen testing and cell culture techniques.
- Project and stakeholder management skills.
- Full professional proficiency in both written and spoken English and Danish.

- Perform assay validations at the appropriate regulatory level.

- Contribute to the development, optimization, and where relevant, re-evaluation of established analytical techniques.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams together with colleagues from Research and Manufacturing.
- Support knowledge sharing across the team and in other relevant forums to ensure stable day-to-day operations.
