Your Tasks
Within the Pre-Development Sun Care department, new technologies and application formats for Beiersdorf's sun care brands are developed. As a student assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to development projects within a dedicated and highly motivated team. You will gain valuable insights into the work of an international cosmetics company and develop in-depth knowledge of cosmetic product formulation and development.
- Daily routine work in the Research & Development laboratory
- Preparation and optimization of various formulation bases on a laboratory scale using computerized weighing software
- Performing and evaluating analytical and formulation assessments, including: Viscosity measurements, PH measurements, Stability evaluations
- Learning and applying methods for assessing the efficacy of cosmetic products
- Optimization of existing testing procedures
- Gaining deeper insights into the mode of action and development of sun protection products
Your Profile
- Currently enrolled in a science-related degree program at a university or university of applied sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field)
- Enrolled as a student throughout the entire period of employment
- Previous practical experience, for example in analytical chemistry, is an advantage
- Flexible and a strong team player
- Open-minded and communicative
- Careful and structured working style with strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- The role requires partial on-site presence in line with company regulations.
- Good German and/or English language skills
