Job Description

The Business Development, Product & Private Assets Data Analytics unit operates as a strategic enabler within the IT & Innovation structure, driving the digital backbone that supports Business Development, Product functions, and private assets practices. Its mandate spans the full lifecycle of digital and data-driven initiatives: from defining and developing strategic solutions to implementing and managing the applications and platforms that sustain commercial growth and product evolution. The unit functionally oversees and maintains all related systems, coordinating internal and external providers to ensure continuity, quality, and alignment with business priorities. It also leads the digital transformation agenda for its perimeter, managing functional requirements, product ownership, business analysis, and the modelling and design of technical solutions. This includes the evolution of websites, CRM environments, client and marketing engagement tools, the Cloud Data Platforms dedicated to Business Development and Product activities-such as the Product Database, Sales Reporting systems, and CRM Hub & Spokes middleware-as well as the reporting hub and outsourced data-management processes for private assets. Through these capabilities, the unit ensures that BI, reporting, and advanced analytics tools are robust, scalable, and able to generate actionable insights that support the company's value chain and long-term growth.

The ideal candidate will work on the following activities:
  • Involvement in the implementation of cloud-based services or data lakes, including migration from on-premises environments to public cloud platforms and data model modernization
  • Work with key Global Sales stakeholders to understand their business requirements to analyze and provide solutions
  • Lead Business Development & Product Data related projects, performing all aspects of the implementation cycle including Business Analysis, Support, User Training, Testing, Go-live and ongoing support.
  • Work with various areas of the business and team to prioritize and project manage the delivery of enhancements for the GenAM affiliates product and distribution platforms
  • Coordinate the activities of a small team of external consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Providing a high level of support to consumers of reports in their use and understanding of the data available through our source systems and books of records
  • Build and maintain reporting capabilities knowledge and identifying market needs for future technology developments
  • Implement strong data quality routines to improve and guarantee a reliable data delivery for the reporting purposes


Requirements

  • Master's degree in economics, finance, management engineering
  • 5 years of experience in asset management (for an insurer is a plus) or in investment banking institutions, ideally in business management with strong cross-functional knowledge or in a traversal role covering several areas between Portfolio Management, Trading, Sales, Operations, Finance, Reporting and Risk Management areas
  • Previous experience managing internal and external data dissemination through digital channels such as websites, intranets, and CRM platforms
  • Good understanding of client reporting challenges and a proven track record in managing or overseeing complex projects relevant to global sales, product manufacturing, fund distribution, commercial support, and client servicing
  • A background in financial services, strong technical skills, and relevant experience in managing projects will be critical to implement state-of-the-art processes and technologies to better serve clients' needs and to enhance our reporting capabilities dedicated to Business Development & Product and Finance department
  • Solid understanding of data conceptualization and modelling specially to characterize a fund structure both from an asset and liabilities perspective or P&L elements (transactions and positions)
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge in usage of AI components to improve data quality and analysis
  • Fluent in English and Italian. The knowledge of a second language (French or German) will be considered a plus


Nice to have:
  • Experience within a GIPS compliant Asset Manager.
  • Experience with CRM system implementation (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience in the implementation of Front Office/Trading/Performance Attribution tool from a transversal perspective Aladdin, SimCorp, Murex, Think Folio, Charles River, Bi-Sam etc.
  • Accountancy or Investment professional qualification such as CFA, CIPM, PRM, FRM, CAIA
  • Understanding of relational databases systems as well as the reports produced from them
  • Experience in data modernization representation through platforms like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, ClickHouse etc ...
  • Experience in implementation of data products hosted in the Cloud (AWS, Azure ...)


The role is offered within the 3° Area Professionale framework, under the National Collective Labour Agreement for the Banking Sector (CCNL Credito) and the applicable Company Supplementary Agreement (Contratto Integrativo Aziendale). The starting gross annual salary is €40,000. The final compensation package will reflect the candidate's professional background and the technical and interpersonal skills required for the position, and may include an individual performance-based variable component.
