The Junior Praktijk Programma has officially kicked off!

We’re excited to share that the next round of the Junior Praktijk Programma (JPP) is now underway!

JPP is a unique vocational education initiative developed by Scalda in collaboration with leading industry partners such as Dow, Yara, Zeeland Refinery, and others. It’s a 4-year full-time BOL program, full-time vocational education track, focused on Process Technology and Maintenance (levels 3 and 4), designed for students who are passionate about technology and eager to learn through hands-on experience.

What makes JPP stand out?

JPP offers a hybrid learning model that blends classroom theory with real-world practice. From the start, students spend one day a week in company settings, working on tasks that reflect actual industry challenges. The program covers:

  • Safety and operational protocols
  • Technical equipment and maintenance
  • Daily routines of process operators
  • Problem-solving, teamwork, and more.

Through apprentice days and work–based learning, students gain valuable insights into the working world, supported by experienced mentors who guide their development.

Where it’s happening?

The program is currently active in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, Netherlands, with plans to expand across Zeeland and West-Brabant, offering more students the opportunity to be part of this innovative journey.

Why it matters?

The JPP isn’t just about learning, but it’s about building your future. Students explore different companies, discover what suit them best, and get a head start in a high-demand field. Plus, the program is designed to reduce dropout rates by keeping learning exciting and relevant.
