    David’s journey: from intern to improvement engineer with #TeamDow

    Meet David, a graduate from the Rovira i Virgil University in Tarragona, Spain, and a member of #TeamDow. Driven by his passion for implementing well-thought-out processes, David began his career as an intern, contributing to impactful sustainability projects. Over time, he has evolved into an accomplished improvement engineer. Let’s delve into his story! David kickstarted his professional journey at Dow Terneuzen, the Netherlands, in 2022 with a curricular internship while completing his master’s thesis. During this time, he collaborated with colleagues on developing a new process aligned with our carbon neutrality goals. Following his internship, David joined us back in Tarragona as part of a collaborative program between his university and Dow, securing a position based on his technical expertise and soft skills built up early in his career. Now, as a full-time improvement engineer, David channels his passion for sustainability into various projects aimed at enhancing safety, reliability, and environmental goals, all aligned with Dow’s path to zero. "From the canals of the Netherlands to the vibrant streets of Spain, my professional journey at Dow has been a passport to a global mindset and an ever-expanding network," says David. The program lasts for one year and consists of two rotations within the operations. It is dedicated to innovative and open-minded recent and soon-to-be master graduates in the engineering field with fluency in English.  Project Execution Rotational Program  Embark on a comprehensive journey through Engineering, Project Control, Purchasing, and Construction Management in the Project Execution Rotational Program. This two-year program, totaling 4 rotations, is dedicated to recent or soon-to-be technical master’s degree graduates with fluency in English.  Information Systems Defined Development Program Learn to collaborate globally on a range of processes and technology areas, including (but not limited to) artificial intelligence/machine learning, SAP, analytics, mobile application development, cloud architectures, and contemporary security solutions.
