Scam Alert: fake JobTeaser WhatsApp job ads and messages

We have been made aware that there are a number of scam messages being sent across WhatsApp where the sender impersonates companies, including JobTeaser. Fraudsters may reach out to you with job offers in order to get your personal information or request payment.


It is important to add that your phone number is not part of any data breach at JobTeaser.


Please remember that JobTeaser does not use Whatsapp as a communication or recruitment tool. So any whatsapp messages pretending to be JobTeaser can only scam messages.

What to do if you receive communication via Whatsapp?

We recommend that you :

do not respond to such scam messages

do not click on any potential links within these messages

block contact and report any such whatsapp message, following this procedure.

How to spot a phishing message ?

Here are some indicators to spot a phishing message:

It’s a unsolicited message from unknown number

The offer seems too good to be true

The contact is asking for money or personal details, such as your CV, your passport or bank account numbers, or any other sensitive details

The message has spelling and/or grammatical mistakes

The message is written in an informal or unprofessional language
