A quantitative analyst’s job is to develop mathematical models to understand and predict market trends, as well as the price of derivatives. Their models are widely used by other financial stakeholders, including risk analysts, valuation analysts, credit analysts and traders. Collectively, these professions are sometimes referred to as being part of the ‘quant’ environment.
