Our team at the BMW Group advances in-car AI at the intersection of academia and industry. You will collaborate with engineers and researchers to contribute to the future of automotive human-vehicle interaction using generative AI, building multimodal features for an intelligent personal voice assistant.

What awaits you?
  • You will help to research, prototype, and deploy LLM and GenAI features for an in-car voice assistant.
  • Furthermore, you support building fast Python prototypes for multimodal interactions including speech, vision, and text in-vehicle with AI Agents.
  • In addition, you contribute to exploring practical in-car use cases such as dialogue, context awareness, and multimodal data.
  • Moreover, you will assist in testing, validation, and ensuring safety and compliance of automotive AI features.
  • You help to adopt new GenAI tools as needed demonstrating fast learning and adaptability.

What should you bring along?
  • Studies in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
  • Solid programming knowledge in Python with proven experience building prototypes.
  • Experience in developing GenAI tools and apps with LLMs, including end-to-end prototyping and evaluation.
  • Agentic AI experience is a plus such as MCP, A2A, and familiarity with agent-based architectures.
  • Fast learner with willingness to adapt to new technologies and platforms.
  • Experience with Agile development including sprints, stand-ups, demos, and backlog management.
  • Good German and English skills.
