From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

The Task Sequencer Developer contributes to the development and industrialization of the Task Sequencer solution aligned with PLM4A & Dynamic Maintenance Planning (DMP) programs

The role focuses on building and optimizing a tool that transforms maintenance plans into optimized, operator-ready task sequences, considering depot constraints, resources, and operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & Enhance
    • Build and maintain Task Sequencer core functionalities (optimization engine, interfaces)
    • Implement and improve scheduling and sequencing algorithms (tasks, operators, resources)
  • Optimization & Constraints
    • Model industrial constraints (depot layout, operator skills, preconditions, availability)
    • Configure and tune sequencing criteria and optimization parameters
  • Integration
    • Ensure integration with PLM4A / DMP :
      • Inputs: maintenance plans, configuration files
      • Outputs: task lists, KPIs, visualizations (Tetris, spaghetti graphs)
    • Interface with execution tools (GSI, SES, DWB)
  • Validation & Industrialization
    • Validate sequencing results with industrial teams
    • Support deployment across projects and ensure operational usability

Required Skills

  • Technical
    • Strong programming (VB / VBA)
    • Experience in optimization / scheduling / constraint-solving
    • Data handling (Excel, CSV, structured data)
  • Functional
    • Understanding of maintenance planning or industrial operations

Profile

  • Engineering degree (Software, Industrial, or Operations Research)
  • Experience in optimization tools or industrial digital solutions preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset and cross-functional collaboration skills
