The Energy Management Software & Services (EM S&S) division brings together Schneider Electric's software, digital solutions, sustainability, and services businesses into a unified organization spanning the entire customer value chain, from design and deployment to operations and lifecycle optimization. You will join the Strategic Intelligence & Planning team (5 people), a central function that supports the Division's strategic priorities through market intelligence, competitive insights, customer needs and offer-, segment- specific business analysis.

Working alongside a team of Strategic Intelligence Managers, you will contribute to topics across Energy Management Software, Digital Energy Solutions, Services, Sustainability, and division-wide strategic initiatives. Your work will help business leaders better understand market dynamics, competitor strategies, emerging technologies, and growth opportunities in a rapidly evolving software-driven energy ecosystem.

You will work with corporate strategy, Business Unit strategy, Line of Business strategic marketing, potentially commercial / segment teams.

Role & Missions

Join the Strategic Intelligence team within the Software & Services Division, where you will work alongside Line of Business Strategic Intelligence Managers supporting the Division's key businesses priorities.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to track and analyze market developments across energy management software, solutions, sustainability, and services markets, identifying key trends, growth drivers, disruptive technologies, customer needs, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Support monitoring competitor activities and strategic movements, including portfolio evolution, M&A, partnerships, go-to-market strategies, product launches, and financial performance to assess potential business implications.
  • Contribute to strategic intelligence deliverables including monthly newsletters, AMR (annual market review) campaign, quarterly business reviews, ad-hoc deep dives if needed etc.
  • Support strategic planning and business reviews by gathering, structuring, and synthesizing market, customer, and competitive insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Leverage external databases, analyst reports, AI tools to conduct research, generate insights, and strengthen the Division's strategic knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with other teams e.g. Strategy and Marketing on cross-functional initiatives, providing market insights and analytical support to key strategic projects

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree (Bac+4/5) in Engineering or business school, i deally with specialisation in energy related, marketing or strategy

Required technical skills / tools:
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to conduct desk research, benchmark competitors, and identify key market trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Great written communication skills with the ability to translate information into concise deliverables.


Soft skills :

  • Intellectual curiosity and an interest in energy management strategy, market dynamics, and competitive environments.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and self-driven mindset
  • Great communication and stakeholder management skills in a multicultural and international environment.
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.


Preferred skills :

  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization, market intelligence, or business intelligence tools.
