How You'll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:
  • As a Freight Sourcing Specialist, you are responsible for the end-to-end execution of strategic freight sourcing activities
  • You'll manage RFI and RFQ processes, including bid evaluation and supplier negotiations
  • You'll develop sourcing strategies, conduct commercial analyses, and provide award recommendations
  • You'll collaborate closely with logistics, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • You'll ensure alignment of sourcing activities with business requirements and procurement priorities
  • You'll coordinate stakeholders, support governance and reporting, and act as a key contact for sourcing topics
  • You'll participate in supplier discussions, meetings, and implementation activities
  • The role includes international collaboration and occasional travel within Europe (approx. 10%)

Candidate Profile

The requirements of the role include:
  • As a Freight Sourcing Specialist, you hold a university degree or relevant job-specific professional experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or similar
  • You have around 3 years of experience in procurement, ideally in freight sourcing or transport procurement
  • You are experienced in tender management (RFI/RFQ), supplier negotiations, and sourcing processes
  • You have a solid understanding of logistics, transport markets, and cost structures
  • You are very analytical and posess negotiation skills, with a structured and results-driven approach
  • Ideally, you are experienced with procurement tools or e-sourcing platforms (e.g. Transporeon)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and regions are your strong points
  • Since you will be spending a lot of time in an international environment, you are fluent in English; German is a strong advantage and any other additional European languages are beneficial

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 55.700*
*willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications
