CDBS (formerly Meritor) is seeking a motivated Junior Environmental Strategy Analyst to join our HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) team in Cameri. This is a full-time, fully onsite position to cover a maternity leave, offering a 12 to 15-month contract.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an emerging professional to gain hands-on experience in corporate environmental strategy, sustainability data analysis, and HSE compliance within a global manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Coordinate project activities and streamline business processes to support environmental excellence initiatives.
  • Manage specific project components by tracking milestones, maintaining records, and updating key stakeholders.
  • Provide logistical support to project teams, facilitating knowledge sharing and documenting lessons learned.
  • Maintain data integrity by regularly updating environmental databases, internal websites, and project documentation.
  • Monitor and report on key environmental performance indicators, including utility consumption and waste generation.
  • Analyze environmental incidents to identify root causes and support the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assist in budget forecasting for environmental activities and contribute to ongoing sustainability projects.
  • Develop internal communications to boost employee awareness, engagement, and involvement in sustainability initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong capacity to analyze environmental data, conduct gap analyses, and propose practical process improvements.
  • Environmental Knowledge: Good understanding of sustainability trends, environmental principles, and basic regulatory frameworks.
  • Project Management: Proactive, well-organized, and action-oriented mindset with the ability to manage risks and meet project deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional internal and external teams.

Education/ Experience:
  • Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, HSE Management, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Experience: Initial experience (internships or entry-level roles) in corporate environmental strategy or data analysis is a plus, but minimal experience is required.
  • Languages: Professional fluency in Italian (C1/C2) and intermediate to advanced proficiency in English (B1/B2).
  • Tech Skills: Full proficiency in MS Office, with strong advanced skills in Excel (data analysis) and PowerPoint (presentations)
