Job Description

Within the Group Actuarial function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team, directly reporting the Head of Insurance Regions, Spain and Portugal Actuarial Function.

Key responsibilities of the role will include the support of the "Insurance Regions, Spain and Portugal Actuarial Function" team in:
  • Promoting the adoption of the AF standard reference framework in the Local Actuarial Functions, supervising its proper application, considering local business and regulatory specificities
  • Challenging the Local Actuarial Functions on the yearly activities plans, ensuring their coherence with the Group Actuarial Function's one
  • Overseeing the Technical Provisions coordination activities on a quarterly basis, ensuring the appropriateness of the methodologies and underlying models used as well as the assumptions made in their calculation
  • Challenging and supporting the LAF for the production of the reports on the TP, underwriting policy and reinsurance arrangements


Furthermore, the job holder will be involved in ad-hoc projects, such as:
  • Supporting the on-boarding activities and the implementation of the AF standard reference framework for the new entities
  • Performing the Quality Assurance Program activities
  • Contributing to the Group Actuarial Function reporting on technical provisions, underwriting policies and reinsurance arrangements, best estimate operating assumptions and on the Group reserving policies


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields
  • Knowledge of actuarial techniques and insurance accounting practices and standards
  • Good numerical and analytical skills (e.g. Excel, Pivots, lookups, logical functions)
  • Good presentation skills (e.g. PowerPoint) and attention to details
  • Fluency in English


Soft skills:
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders
  • Solution oriented and strong problem solving skills


Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of actuarial software (Prophet, Risk Agility, R)
  • Experience in validating Life Technical Provisions, or in auditing activities in general
  • Experience with international working environment
