Could you be the VIE Project Contract Manager in Braunschweig looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in contract management in a dynamic and innovative environment. You'll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of contracts and safeguarding Alstom's interests. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as project management, finance, engineering, and sourcing), develop and implement contract strategies, and proactively mitigate risks, among other responsibilities.

You'll specifically take care of managing contractual obligations and claims, but also fostering a culture of proactive contract management within the project team.

We'll look to you for:
  • Driving contract management activities and providing leadership to project contract managers and administrators.
  • Developing and implementing a Contract Management Strategy Plan (CMSP) in collaboration with the Core Project Team.
  • Ensuring compliance with contract governance and timely issuance of contractual notices to customers and partners.
  • Establishing and implementing project-specific commercial procedures, including documentation, notifications, and claims preparation files.
  • Monitoring project schedules to ensure adherence to contractual milestones and obligations.
  • Providing creative and pragmatic advice on contractual issues, risks, and claims activities.
  • Preparing and managing all documentation for claims and counterclaims negotiations.
  • Delivering training on contract and claim management to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify risks, maximize opportunities, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Preparation and drafting contractual and legal documentation.
  • Preparation and drafting customer and supplier letters.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Law. Other degrees might be considered only with experience in legal department or contract management.
  • English and German mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams with a proactive and innovative mindset

You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
