We’re looking for a Legal Intern to join our Brussels office and support the daily legal operations of Cohabs. From contract reviews to compliance matters and legal process optimization, you’ll play a key role in supporting our teams and helping us scale efficiently across multiple countries.

What you’ll be doing

  • Process Improvement: Help improve legal tools, procedures, and ways of working to increase efficiency and clarity across the business.
  • Documentation Wizard: Structure, organize, and centralize legal documentation (contracts, templates, internal policies), ensuring consistency and accessibility.
  • Contract Review Support: Assist the Legal Manager with daily priorities, including commercial contract reviews and rent recovery follow-up procedures.
  • Database Improvement: Contribute to improving Cohabs’ internal databases by cleaning and organizing the Drive and updating company compliance information.
  • Drafting & Analysis: Participate in drafting and reviewing various legal documents such as commercial agreements, general terms & conditions, maintenance agreements, and service contracts.
  • Compliance & Legal Research: Support legal topics including GDPR compliance, insurance matters, corporate governance, and member-related legal questions.
  • Member Legal Support: Contribute to handling legal requests and issues related to members, with a focus on risk prevention and amicable resolution.

What we’re looking for

  • You are currently enrolled as a trainee lawyer at the EFB (École de Formation du Barreau) and hold a Master’s degree in Law.
  • You have strong foundations in civil law, commercial law, and/or business law.
  • You are genuinely interested in corporate legal work and the role of legal counsel within an operational environment.

You demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and legal reasoning skills;
  • Pragmatism and the ability to propose business-oriented legal solutions;
  • Autonomy, organization, and strong prioritization skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, international, and constantly evolving environment.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, and are comfortable explaining legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

If you’re looking for an internship where you’ll gain real responsibility, work on meaningful legal matters, and collaborate closely with operational teams across Europe and the US, we’d love to hear from you!
