Job Description

Within the Group Life Actuarial Function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team.

With reference to the life business of both Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A and Generali Group Legal entities, the Group Life Actuarial Function mission is to support the Group Head of Actuarial Function in:
  • Defining the AF standard reference framework
  • Coordinating the Solvency II Technical Provisions (TP) calculation process
  • Informing the Board of Directors of the reliability and adequacy of the TP calculation
  • Formulating an opinion on the overall underwriting policy and on the reinsurance arrangements
  • Contributing to the effective implementation of the risk-management system
  • Performing other activities assigned to the actuarial function by IVASS.


The Actuarial Data & Analytics Intern supports the Group Life Actuarial Function by leveraging data analytics and AI tools to analyse quantitative and qualitative actuarial data, supporting the design AI prompts and agent-based workflows, and contributing to automating the production of quantitative and qualitative reporting.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Support the design and maintain AI prompts and agent-based analytical workflows
  • Assist in the application of AI tools to actuarial documentation, validation reports, and regulatory texts
  • Contribute to the automation of quantitative and qualitative reporting for Group Life Actuarial oversight


Requirements

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, or similar
  • Knowledge of Python and/or R, gained through academic courses or projects
  • Experience with AI tools, prompt engineering, and automated analytics
  • Familiarity to handle both structured (SQL, CSV, JSON) and unstructured (PDF, Word, Email) data
  • English proficiency


Nice to have:
  • Actuarial Awareness: Basic understanding of Life Insurance products and actuarial concepts (valuation, risk modeling) is highly valued

  • Analytical mindset and quality focus
  • Ability to transform complex data into clear insights
  • Ability to explain AI capabilities and limitations to traditional actuarial stakeholders
