Within the Group Data Artificial Intelligence and Automation Solutions function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team. The function is in charge of driving the execution of key Artificial Intelligence projects at Group level, related both to AI-driven automation and AI recommendations/predictions to support the Generali growth. The function is also responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving a library of central shared analytics/automation services, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, algorithms, and methodologies, available for the BUs through a central platform.

The function is in charge of driving the execution of key Artificial Intelligence projects at Group level, related both to AI-driven automation and AI recommendations/predictions to support the Generali growth. The function is also responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving a library of central shared analytics/automation services, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, algorithms, and methodologies, available for the BUs through a central platform.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Supporting the project set-up, the analysis of the as-is processes, the creation of a business case, and the design of the target end-to-end solution, including the models and data needed to maximize the business impact
- Developing end-to-end AI projects (data pre-processing, algorithm selection, training, evaluation/test, and code-base maintenance)
- Presenting and explaining the projects results and the solution's performances to the business stakeholders
- Researching bleeding-edge techniques and tools to bring new research topics and methodologies from paper to production and contribute to the library of ready-to-use shared algorithms used worldwide
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Master's degree in STEM disciplines (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)
- At least 2 years of experience, as a data scientist or AI/ML engineer
- Experience in designing, developing, and evaluating Statistical or Machine Learning models (clustering, classification, regression, forecasting, etc.)
- Proficiency with at least one programming languages (Python, Java, C, etc.)
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge on one among NLP and Computer Vision techniques
- Knowledge of the main LLMs (GPT, Claude, Llama, Mistral, etc.) and related libraries (LangChain, LLamaIndex, etc.), and prompt engineering
- Proficiency with Data Science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Numpy, etc.)
- Fluent English
Soft skills:
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and deductive skills, creativity, and determination
- Ability to work in a team, operational autonomy, proactivity, high level of commitment and result oriented
