Care for skin - care for people

At Beiersdorf, we believe that care is at the heart of everything we do. Care for skin, care for people, and care for the planet. For over 130 years, our iconic brands like NIVEA, Eucerin, and Hansaplast have empowered millions worldwide to feel confident in their skin. Now, it's your turn to be part of this journey.

Your Tasks

We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to join our Benelux Planning Team. During your internship, you will get a deeper understanding of the processes of a Supply Chain Department. You will learn on- the-job how the Supply Chain of an international company works from factory to customer, and you will build practical and analytical knowledge that will be extremely useful in your field in the future.

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will mainly support the BNL Planning Team (responsible for demand planning - forecasting based on data analysis, cross-departmental alignment and customer collaboration) by building an enhanced 18-month rolling forecast for your product category. You will work closely together with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, VAS and Customer Management departments in both NL and BE. You will track promotions, in-store activities and media to enrich your forecast and ensure that a healthy stock level is maintained to maximize our customer service level (without compromising Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Stock coverage, and Critical Stock).

We offer the opportunity to use a local or regional ongoing project for your university assignment/thesis. In consultation, a suitable assignment for you, the university and Beiersdorf can be found

  • Support demand planning and contribute to building an 18-month rolling forecast for NIVEA
  • Analyze data and integrate inputs (promotions, media, in-store activities) to improve forecast quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across NL & BE (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, etc.) to align forecasts
  • Monitor stock levels and help ensure high customer service performance
  • Balance key KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Stock Coverage, and Critical Stock

Your Profile

  • Master's student in Supply Chain Management (or related field), based in the Netherlands or Belgium
  • Available for 6 months, 5 days a week (2 days of home office)
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge in Dutch and French are considered a plus, but not mandatory
  • Interested in starting a career in FMCG
  • Strong Excel skills and are IT literate
  • Strong analytical mindset with interest in demand planning and data-driven decision-making
  • A proactive and collaborative personality with strong communication and social skills
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Solution-oriented, pragmatic, but with the right attention to details
