Fun fact
Linguistics is the scientific study of language and its structures. Without it, we’d never know that there’s an African language that uses just five distinct clicking sounds to make up the entire language. Or that “cliché” was originally an onomatopoeia, from the sound the old printing presses would make when making lots of copies. You know, interesting stuff like that!
