It sounds incredible, but it’s true. In 1950, an American toy company marketed a small atomic energy lab at children. The Gilbert U-238 kit contained uranium, polonium, as well as other radioactive materials. The aim was to educate children by letting them recreate and observe chemical and nuclear reactions.
