METRO participates in the talent programme "My Ability"

METRO participates in the talent programme "My Ability" and is committed to more diversity

This year, in 2021, METRO. digital and Hospitality. digital has started a cooperation with MyAbility Talent Programme. It is an accessible career programme for students and academics with disabilities and/or chronic health conditions.

The Talent Development Programme connects highly qualified students with disabilities and chronic diseases to companies that esteem disability as a positive aspect of their profile. MyAbility Talents are specifically coached in career planning and soft skill development, with various networking events helping them get deeper into job shadowing.

Petra Schneider, Director of HR Tech & Campus at METRO AG, strongly supports diversity & inclusion programmes and initiatives that will gather METRO all together irrespective of differences.

The candidates and the companies will get to know each other during speed dating sessions, which will take place in January 2022. After the selection of candidates, the new colleagues will then start their job shadowing in February, which will last up to 2 months. They will be accompanied and coached by the organization "My Ability".
