Help us get ahead of disease together with our Internship Programme

Education required: You are regularly enrolled in a Bachelor/Master in Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Process Engineering, or related fields in an Educational Establishment located in Europe.

Language requirement: Fluency in English; French is a plus.

Other requirements:

- Strong interest in bioprocessing and production technologies

- Ability to perform hands-on lab work

- Analytical mindset and interest in data interpretation

- Good communication skills and willingness to interact with cross-functional partners

Expected start date: August / September 2026

Duration: 12 months

Work arrangements: Hybrid

Requisite: The internship must be mandatory & done in the framework of the curriculum, for which an agreement must be signed between GSK, the student and the Educational Establishment.

Remuneration: according to Belgian legal requirements, the internship will not be paid. However, some expenses will be reimbursed.

What will you do?
  • Explore and compare emerging single‑use and digital technologies used in bioprocessing
  • Interact with external suppliers and review technical documentation
  • Set up and test prototype equipment, collect data, and analyse performance
  • Review freeze‑drying process principles and adapt parameters for small‑scale experiments
  • Prepare and run laboratory freeze‑drying tests
  • Evaluate dried samples and support the creation of visual training materials
