  Walmart and Avery Dennison collaborate to enhance freshness and increase operational efficiency using RFID

  In collaboration with Walmart, we’re proud to announce a breakthrough innovation to advance the use of RFID in fresh categories previously not possible, revolutionizing fresh food management in the grocery retail sector. Overcoming longstanding industry challenges of using RFID in high-moisture, cold environments, like meat cases, we’ve developed first-of-its-kind sensor technology that brings RFID-enabled labels to the meat department. By using Avery Dennison’s RFID solutions in meat, bakery and deli departments, Walmart associates can track inventory faster and more accurately in order to: ✅ Improve Availability: Making sure products stay stocked. ✅ Enhance Freshness: Rotating products more efficiently. ✅ Reduce Waste: Making smarter markdown decisions to cut down on unsold food. ✅ Increase Efficiency: Less manual work, more time helping customers.
