OFFIS e.V. - Institute for Information Technology

OFFIS is a 1991-founded, internationally active Research and Development Institute for information technology based in Oldenburg, Lower-Saxony. In an average of 70 ongoing projects OFFIS, with its over 250 employees, carries out research and prototypical development work on the highest international level in the areas of energy, society, health and manufacturing. OFFIS cooperates with more than 700 business and scientific partners worldwide.

Purpose

OFFIS is the leading research and development institute in Lower Saxony in the field of computer science. We are oriented towards people, their needs and the necessity of preserving the environment. Our research always follows ethical principles and the standards of good scientific practice. Research for and on weapons has no place in OFFIS. OFFIS stands for innovation in action. "We think ahead" is more than a slogan for us!

The very principle of research is closely linked to curiosity. To this end, we must always be open to new things and learn more. For this reason, we support the continuing education of our colleagues. Offers run throughout the year as part of our personnel development measures. This also includes certifications such as the IPMA project management certifications or the iSAQB certification.

Benefits are always a good thing, right? ;-) The health of our colleagues is for example an important aspect for us. Here we support you within the framework of our company health management. And our company physician is the contact person for all matters relating to medical occupational safety.
