About the internship

We are seeking a Bachelor's or Master's student for a 3 month internship focused on silicone formulations application development on different Textile substrates within our industrial R&D environment. The studentship offers hands-on exposure to real product development challenges, combining formulation science and application-oriented testing.

The student will actively contribute to the development, optimization, and characterization of silicone-based systems, working at the interface of silicones, polymers, and colloidal systems. The role involves laboratory experimentation, formulation screening, performance evaluation, and interpretation of structure-property relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of formulation samples and laboratory test materials.
  • Execution of experimental plans following established safety rules and good laboratory practices.
  • Collection, analysis, and management of experimental data.
  • Optimization of formulations and testing protocols to improve performance and robustness.
  • Clear results reporting, technical documentation, and presentation of findings.
  • Contribution to problem solving by applying critical thinking and innovative approaches.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related field
  • Good working knowledge of English.
  • You can start between August and October 2026 for a period of three months (exact timing to be discussed).
