As a Junior Analyst, you will be part of a vibrant team supporting the Consulting Office in the UK from our new offices in Lisbon. Our team is responsible for maintaining, improving, and enhancing the high quality of Aptia systems and databases, to provide the most accurate information to the client, so they can make better decisions regarding their benefits.

You will work closely with the UK-based consultants on a daily basis.

You will benefit from full Aptia training and this role will provide you an exciting opportunity to learn about the processes at Aptia, whilst allowing you to grow and develop your knowledge within a pensions setting and growing team.

This role is a hybrid position where you will work from our office in Lisbon, as well as from your home address. For the first three months of employment you will work full-time from the office.

What you will be doing:

  • A variety of administration activities connected to running a pension scheme, including leavers, data changes, setting up benefits into payment, general policyholder enquiries and annual scheme updates

  • Learn how to perform pensions calculations, with close support of your team

  • Work within specified timescales and produce quality work within this

  • Work as part of a team, collaborating to continuously improve processes and service to clients

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor/ master's degree in mathematics, engineering, actuarial science, statistics, economics, management, finance, or related field

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

  • Good IT skills, comfortable working with systems and programmes such as MS Office (especially excel)

  • Organised with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a team

  • Able to understand and follow set processes

  • Flexibility in adapting to different environments and types of work.

  • UK pension knowledge (preferential but not mandatory)

  • Actuarial Science knowledge (preferential)

  • VBA skills (preferential)
