Let’s Chat: Inside the Communication Team
What’s it like to work as a Brand Content Editor? 📝 1️⃣ Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you came to join Gameloft? I’m Korean-Canadian with a bachelor’s in English Literature. I first came to France as an English language assistant, then worked in translation. A few years later, I saw the opening at Gameloft, and it was a dream come true! 2️⃣ What attracted you to this role? I’ve always wanted to work in the gaming industry. This job combines my two passions: writing and games! I loved the idea of creating content for different channels and collaborating with people across studios. 3️⃣ What skills from your journey help you most today? Writing clearly and concisely, but also being adaptable and a team player. Content goes through many approvals, so flexibility is key. 4️⃣ How do you work with your team on a daily basis? I’m the only one in this position, so I write independently, but collaboration is constant. My days are a mix of gathering info, drafting, editing, and rewriting — all fueled by exchanges with teammates worldwide. 5️⃣ What kind of content do you create, and what’s your main goal? I write for employees, players, and future Gamelofters: newsletters, blog posts, social media, interviews… The goal is to inform, inspire, and make everyone feel part of Gameloft. 6️⃣ The piece of content you’re most proud of? The Girls Who Slay the Game roundtable for International Women’s Day. Diversity and inclusion are very important to me, and I was proud to help organize and host it. 7️⃣ How do you stay creative and keep learning? I draw inspiration from all kinds of art. Gameloft also offers mentorship, internal learning, and support for external education. Staying curious and connecting with colleagues across the company helps me grow constantly. 8️⃣ What advice would you give to someone wanting to join your team? Creating a game is teamwork. Leave your ego at the door, show empathy, stay curious, and believe in yourself.
