At  Dior, we are committed to empowering women.

Christian Dior Couture was delighted to welcome Mentees and Mentors of the Women@Dior & UNESCO Mentorship & Education program in France to the Dior Gallery for a morning dedicated to forging new bonds of sisterhood within the inspirational setting of Dior’s heritage.

The morning began at the Dior Gallery’s Café with warm welcomes from @Sena Segbedzi, International Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager, and @Olivier Flaviano, Director Dior Paris Gallery. Over coffee and pastries, Mentees and Mentors had the opportunity to network and meet for the first time. Following this, they embarked on a guided tour of the Dior Gallery’s 5th exhibition, an original retrospective featuring over 150 exclusive textile and photographic works that beautifully capture the essence of Dior’s legacy.

@Yanzhu Su, Women@Dior Mentee, shares: ‘Starting with the breakfast at Dior Café, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It was wonderful to reconnect with old friends from global conference and meet new mentors and fellow mentees. The setting fostered engaging conversations, and I appreciated the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences in such a friendly environment.'

'The private guided visit to La Galerie Dior was a highlight of the day. Even though I had visited the gallery two years ago, this visit offered a fresh perspective. The new collections were breathtaking, and the detailed explanations from our guide enhanced my understanding of Dior’s legacy. I gained a deeper appreciation for Mr. Dior’s vision of women’s beauty and its significance in his designs. I also appreciated how different designers added their interpretations to the creation of the Dior brand, illustrating how accessories can enlighten an outfit. This experience deepened my commitment to the meaning of women empowerment, and I believe that with Dior’s support, my social impact project will be even more meaningful.'

From the moment we stepped into the gallery, we were enveloped by the world of haute couture, surrounded by iconic pieces that have shaped fashion history'. 

'One of the highlights was exploring the original sketches and toiles that showcased the creative process behind some of Dior's most legendary collections.
The Women@Dior programme added an enriching layer to this visit. It was inspiring to share this experience with other mentees, each of us united by our passion for fashion and our commitment to making a positive impact in our respective fields'. 

'Overall, visiting La Galerie Dior through the Women@Dior programme was an unforgettable experience that deepened my appreciation for the art of couture and the legacy of Dior. It also reinforced the importance of mentorship and the power of women supporting each other to achieve greatness’
