Meet Astrid from the Banking Consulting team! 

“I’m a trained lawyer eager to make legal requirements practical enough to bear actual fruits. After the 2008 crisis, I committed myself to helping financial institutions translate the usually quite cryptic EU Laws into concrete and efficient day-to-day processes. 

This took me to Generali in Paris, to implement Solvency II and AML/CTF Directives and to BNP for FATCA/CRS. 

In 2017, I joined Deloitte. Since then, I have pursued opportunities to leverage new sets of obligations, output of a gap assessments, or audit findings, to design and support the implementation of the right answers to our clients’ regulatory challenges, be it AML, FATCA, GDPR, SCV, SRD2, MiFID or EMIR related.”

What do you usually do outside of work hours?

“When I’m off the keyboard, you’ll find me celebrating any possible joyful occasion with friends and family, travelling the world’s ends, or chilling, a peated Scotch whisky in one hand and a Montecristo in the other.”

What would be your advice to encourage young women today to get into consulting?

"Consulting can open doors to endless possibilities. The diverse range of engagements you participate in allows you to gradually expand your comfort zone and refine your goals with each new experience. What you may not know today, you'll learn with the support of dedicated colleagues, coaches, and mentors. So, take it one step at a time, stay true to yourself, speak up, and you'll soon build a rich and solid foundation for your career."
