We recently hosted the spring edition of our induction, an event that happens twice a year to help our junior hires acclimate and meet their peers. The induction journey offers comprehensive insights into our work culture and includes hands-on activities, informative presentations, and networking opportunities. Beyond the induction journey, as a new joiner, your onboarding will teach you the basics of Deloitte’s business, services and industries starting on day one. You’ll be assigned a DBuddy and career coach to support you, develop your capabilities from targeted training modules, and grow through the practical learning experiences you’ll gain in the course of your everyday work. Company lifeDeloitte Induction: “Hello” from the Metaverse
Deloitte Luxembourg welcomed about 300 young professionals at DSquare for its annual induction program in October. For the first time, new joiners were introduced to a unique metaverse experience at the kick-off event on 11 October. Luxembourg, 12 October 2022: On 11 October, Deloitte Luxembourg welcomed around 300 young professionals to the firm for a culminant kick-off to its induction program. The junior profiles from 28 different nationalities will be part of a distinctly Deloitte experience throughout October that includes fun team-building activities in the city center, networking events and trainings to get to know the corporate culture and the firm’s strategy and values. “Every year, it is great to see so many bright young professionals join our firm and enrich our talent pool with fresh energy and skills. It is important for us that they feel fully integrated and part of a unique journey that empowers them to thrive and grow both professionally and personally,” says Stephan Tilquin, Partner and Talent leader at Deloitte Luxembourg. To the metaverse and back For the first time, Deloitte’s induction included a trip to the metaverse. Innovation Director Fateh Amroune (or his avatar) reached out to the new joiners from the other side of the digital fence to present the latest innovation initiatives of Deloitte Luxembourg inviting the new joiners to hop aboard and discover more. The Deloitte innovation team envisions and develops activities to underline that Deloitte is “not your average tech firm” and offers a range of development opportunities in forward-looking fields. The firm’s kick-off event in the DSquare auditorium also included interactive presentations by Managing Partner John Psaila, Talent leader Stephan Tilquin, Sustainability leader Francesca Messini and Diversity & Inclusion leader Christian van Dartel. As in the previous year, entrepreneur and former skate professional Taïg Khris inspired the audience with his motivational speech on how to overcome obstacles and follow one’s goals with determination. “Addressing the multiple challenges our clients face and building a better future requires fresh perspectives and new talent. These brilliant young professionals will accelerate our ambition to grow and reach higher – while fuelling positive change for our clients, our communities, and our planet. Every year, I feel privileged to engage with our new generations and sense the great promise that our future holds,” states John Psaila, Managing Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg. Over the next weeks, the young professionals will continue their induction journey to kickstart their career. An influx of new tech colleagues is expected to join them in the coming months with the firm’s recently launched recruiting campaign, Tech careers that see you as human. “The campaign reflects our philosophy to find the right people to join our diverse and extremely talented community,” adds Stephan Tilquin. With the newly integrated professionals, Deloitte Luxembourg counts 2,500 people in Advisory & Consulting, Audit & Assurance, Tax and Operating Services.

Are you creative and on the lookout for a new challenge? The University Learning Challenge is coming back for you! The challenge aims for you, with 2 or 3 other students, to develop your own innovative e-learning from a list of topics provided by Deloitte. Throughout the whole project (from October, 22 2023 to April, 15 2024), you will be guided by a Deloitte specialist on the selected topic and provided with the necessary tools and training by our DLearn team. The selected teams will have the chance to present their final product in front of a jury. The three winning teams will be awarded with a prize up to 500€. Take part in the challenge if You are currently enrolled in a university or higher education institution in an EU Member State (whether in Bachelor or Master) You are interested in gaining skills and experience with training design and specific topics (regulatory and non-regulatory) You thrive in a challenging environment To get all details of the challenge, it’s here!
